Centerville Bulldogs are 2-0 on the season

CENTERVILLE _ The Centerville Bulldogs Jayvee Football team is currently 2-0 on the season after posting a 44-20 victory over the Berwick Panthers last Tuesday at the Centerville Bulldogs Football Field.
Centerville’s Christian Arias and Marvin Strawder scored a pair of touchdowns while Lance Howard added another to send the Bulldogs to the victory over Berwick.
Arias hit paydirt on a 60-yard run before adding another score on a 50-yard fumble recovery. Strawder was on the receiving end of a pair of scoring strikes from Caleb LeBlanc. Strawder hauled in a 20-yard strike from Leblanc and later grabbed a 40-yard aerial TD from LeBlanc. Howard capped the Bulldogs scoring with a 30-yard interception return as Centerville pinned a 44-20 setback on the Panthers to move to 2-0 on the season.
Centerville opened the season by topping the Franklin Hornets JV by a final score of 14-8.
Centerville (2-0) will make the journey to Opelousas tonight to tangle with the Opelousas High School Tigers in jayvee with kickoff slated for 6.
