Morgan City budget to be introduced

The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Court Building.
The agenda includes presentation of the 2015 budget and a first reading of the 2015 budget ordinance. There will also be a second reading, public hearing, and adoption of an ordinance for the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium/Port of Morgan City Government Emergency Operations Center parking lot.
Guests at the meeting will be Jessica Dupre with St. Mary Outreach Pumpkin Patch, Beverly Domengeaux with the St. Mary Parish Council on Aging, Patrick Riggins and Bryan Landry for the Double Trouble Bridge Run, Courtney Long for Hoodstock, Walter Shepherd with the Irish/Italian Heritage Parade, Kenny Duval for a Tootsie Roll Drive and Donna Meyer for Red Ribbon Week.
Resolutions on the agenda include a Municipal Water Pollution Prevention Report, to change the December council meeting date, for a hazard mitigation plan update, to support state constitutional amendments 3 and 10, for a bid tabulation for the upgrade of the sewer plant head works and for a bid tabulation for Phase II of the Lake End Parkway Cabins project.
