Drug take-back

Austin Blair of Morgan City was one of the participants in Saturday’s National Take-Back Initiative coordinated locally by Morgan City Police Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s office and Walgreens. Blair hands a bag of expired pharmaceuticals to Jill Ward, Walgreens manager. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office collected 24.9 pounds of drugs between its two drop-off locations in Berwick and Jeanerette, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Traci Landry said.
