Fire fighters in pink

The Franklin Fire Department is supporting the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink uniform shirts. Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Hildreth said, “My mother is a breast cancer survivor and I know firsthand how important regular screening and prompt intervention is. We are pleased to do whatever we can do to promote awareness.” The career and volunteer members of the Franklin Fire Department are one of the largest supporters of cancer awareness in west St. Mary Parish.
