Early voting count at 1,854 in St. Mary Parish

As of Friday, 1,854 votes had been cast in St. Mary Parish for the Nov. 4 election, according to Registrar of Voters Jolene Holcombe.
On Saturday, 281 people in the parish voted early with 150 votes cast in Franklin and 131 cast in Morgan City, according to the registrar of voters report.
Early voting continues through Tuesday. Hours for early voting will be from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Voting is closed Sunday. Early voting is conducted at the registrar’s office on the third floor of the courthouse and at the registrar’s branch office in Morgan City at 301 Third St. Voters may cast ballots early in either office regardless of their addresses.
