All area volleyball teams qualify for state playoffs

The Tri-City area’s four volleyball teams have qualified for the prep volleyball postseason.
Morgan City, Berwick and Patterson, all in Division III, and Central Catholic, in Division V, were included in the prep volleyball brackets released Tuesday.
Central Catholic, the No. 10 seed in Division V, will host No. 23 seed West St. John Wednesday at 6 p.m.
On Thursday in Division III action, No. 12 seed Berwick will host No. 21 seed DeQuincy, while No. 15 Morgan City will host No. 18 Thomas Jefferson, both in 5 p.m. contests.
No. 19 Patterson will travel to face No. 14 North Vermilion in Division III action at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
