LILLIE MAE ‘MOTHER’ PARKER

Lillie Mae “Mother” Parker, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, entered into her heavenly home on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 5:20 a.m.
Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home, from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Nov. 22, at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 230 St. Charles St. in Houma, from 9 a.m. until funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Blue Lily Cemetery, Johnson Ridge.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Parker Jr. and Ronald Parker Sr., both of Houma; seven daughters, Elaine Parker and Patricia P. LaGarde, both of Bayou Vista, Mrs. Melvin (Marilyn) Robinson, Barbara Parker, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Young Sr., Mrs. Lionel (Sandra) Henderson Sr. and Mrs. Eric (JoAnne) Harris, all of Houma; 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one godchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter, grandparents, one brother, five sisters, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
