PEARL RUTH O’NEAL ALCINA

Funeral services for Pearl Ruth O’neal Alcina will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Victory Tabernacle in Sorrel, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 9 a.m. at the church. The Rev. P. J. Romero will conduct the services, with Pastor Robert Liner Sr. and her grandson, Bro. Chris Hebert assisting. She will be laid to rest in the Victory Tabernacle Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Alcina II, Glenn Hebert Jr., Chris Hebert, Chuck Alfano, Trevor Alfano, Braxton Alcina, Bently Alcina, Randy Doiron and Drew Richard.
Mrs. Alcina was a native of Pine Prairie and a resident of Franklin. She was born on April 9, 1934 to the late John David O’neal and the late Caroline Holden O’neal and was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Murphy Alcina Sr.; six children, Mary Alcina, Joseph Michael “Mike” Alcina Sr. and his wife, Flavia Theriot Alcina, Joseph Murphy “Joe” Alcina, Sr. and his wife, Carrie Black Alcina, David Evans Alcina, Alisa Angela Alcina and Allen Stevens Alcina and his wife, Ragan Rodriguez Alcina; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Eve Marie Alcina; one sister, Mary Belle O’neal; and seven brothers, Shirley O’neal, Eddie Ragsdale, Aaron O’neal, Julius O’neal, Curry Holden, John David “J. D.” O’neal and Earl “Toby” O’neal.
