Mark “Blue” Francis Rivere

March 25, 1955 — February 1, 2015
Mark “Blue” Francis Rivere, a native of Napoleonville and a resident of Amelia, passed away Feb. 1, 2015, at the age of 59.
Blue was a member of Bayou Country Band. He was an accomplished Sax and Bass player, starting his training at age 5. Blue enjoyed the outdoors and was a hunter and fisherman. He was a pool player having won many tournaments. Blue was very proud of his family and loved them all, especially his grandbabies.
Blue leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Shondell Rivere Trahan, Denise Rivere, Heidi LeBlanc and husband, Casey, Marki Rivere and Matti Rivere; sisters, Anne Rivere Cavalier, Barbara Rivere Blanchard and husband Henry Jr., and Melissa Gibson and husband, David; and grandchildren, Jardyn, Zachary, Landon, Laiken, Mia and Jolie.
Blue joins in heaven his parents, Eula Hue and Matt Rivere; brothers, Donald Rivere and Mattingly Rivere Jr.; godchild, Rudy Cavalier Jr.; and brother-in-law, Rudy Cavalier.
Visitation will be today, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6 to 10 p.m. and continuing Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until dismissal at 10.30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Blue will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Napoleonville.
