‘Battle of the Paddles’ winners

Hanson Memorial High School held its Fourth Annual Tail Gator Food Fest on the banks of the Bayou Teche Saturday. Winners of the Battle of the Paddles cook-off were, from top in the jambalaya category and in order from first place to third, Sheriff Mark Hebert, Roux Dat Cher and Uncle’s Bar-B-Que. At center in the gumbo category were Antoine Luke Farms, the Roux Crew, Hanagriff’s Machine Shop, as well as seafood gumbo first and second place winners Cypress Bayou Casino and Lawn Scapes. At bottom, the People’s Choice Award went to St. Mary Sugar Co-Op.
