Jeanne Alice Fell
May 12, 1960 — February 7, 2015
Jeanne Alice Fell, 54, born in Franklin on May 12, 1960, and a resident of Morgan City, passed away at her home Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
Jeanne loved to fish, loved horses and dogs, and her favorite place was Disneyland. She was employed by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department for a majority of her career. Jeanne was a wonderful sister and a dear friend to all who knew her. She loved her nieces and nephews and was a devoted aunt. She was a very special lady who never met anyone without greeting them with a sincere hello and a warm smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Rodriguez Fell; her nephew, Cody James Fell; and her brother-in-law, Michael David Ratcliff.
She is survived by her father, Channing Wooster Fell Sr., of Morgan City, and his longtime friend and companion, Norma Lee Junca, of Mandeville; brother, Channing W. Fell Jr. and his wife, Phyllis, of Round Rock, Texas, and their three sons, Jeremy, of Round Rock, Texas, Daniel and his wife, Chelsea, of Port Aransas, Texas, and their three children, and Brian and his wife, Valerie, of Arlington, Texas, and their two children; brother, Timothy W. Fell and his wife, Lana Legendre, of Stephensville, and their sons, Clint, of Stephensville, and his son, Slade, Brennan and his son, Carter, of Lafayette, and Donovan and Lindsey, and their children, of Morgan City; sister, Michelle Ratcliff, of Morgan City, and her longtime friend and companion, Edmond “Ed” Guillotte; and sister, Sandra Thompson, of Morgan City, and her two children, Colden and Alexandra. Also left to cherish Jeanne’s memory is Elizabeth “Beth” White Johnson, who was one of her caregivers and like a second mother, having been part of the Fell family since Jeanne’s birth; and too numerous to mention, are the caregivers who faithfully and lovingly cared for her and attended to her needs throughout her illness.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Presbyterian Church Cemetery, located behind the church off Highway 182 in Centerville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jeanne’s name to South Louisiana Hospice, 6500 Main St., Houma, LA 70360.
