Silver Mae Picou

September 17, 1935 — February 16, 2015
Silver Mae Picou, 79, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at her residence.
Silver is survived by her three brothers, Huey Ganaway, of Schriever, Roosevelt Ganaway, of Alexandria and the Rev. Charles Ganaway, of Bayou L’Ourse; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Silver was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Picou; parents, Louis and Mary Ganaway; three sisters, Theresa Dupre, Florence Ganaway and Betty Jean Ganaway Benner; and three brothers, Louis Ganaway, George Ganaway and Herbert Ganaway.
Visitation will take place today, Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. and resume Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Silver will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the service.
