LENA CUTRERA BERNAUER

Funeral services for Lena Cutrera Bernauer, 88, a native and lifelong resident of Patterson, will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Rex Broussard will be the Celebrant for the Mass, with Fr. Herb Bennerfield and Fr. Angelo Cremaldi concelebrating. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Lena was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. Having taught school for 37 years, she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary educational sorority. She was also a lifelong member of the Patterson Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, James “Jimmy” Bernauer; and one daughter, Terri Bernauer Burnside and her husband, Wolfgang, all of Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaetano and Josephine Catalinotto Cutrera; two brothers, Lucien “Loppy” Cutrera and Luke “Dete” Cutrera.
