3 arrested in sheriff’s bust

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division agents arrested three west St. Mary residents on drug charges Friday.
Detectives with the Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop near Lockett Road No. 1 and reportedly made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, identified as them Courtney Charles, Daniel Ray Miller Jr. and Lenord Howard.
During the course of the investigation detectives reportedly found multiple bags of marijuana in the vehicle. As the search progressed, detectives reportedly located a large bag of cocaine with a street value of approximately $11,400, a container containing 11 large pieces of crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $15,500, and a bag containing several Lortab and Xanax pills. Howard was also allegedly found to be in possession of $4,700 cash.
Lenord Howard, 25, of 1016 Cypremort Road, Jeanerette, was charged Friday at 5:17 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, cocaine, Lortab and Xanax with intent to distribute and transactions involving drug proceeds.
Daniel Ray Miller Jr., 26, of 211 Cedar St., Franklin, was charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine, Lortab and Xanax with intent to distribute.
Courtney Charles, 28, of 149 La. 318, Jeanerette, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, cocaine, Lortab and Xanax with intent to distribute.
No bonds were set.
