DALENA GAIL HAYNES

Dalena Gail Haynes, 47, of Leola, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Leola, Arkansas.
She was born October 28, 1967 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Terry and Nancy Haynes. Dalena attended Morgan City High School in Morgan City, Louisiana, graduating in 1985. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from Nichols State University, and was also awarded a full scholarship to the University of Moncton, Moncton, New Brunswick for further French studies. She worked as an engineering tech for Aerojet in Camden, Arkansas for the past 5 years. Dalena enjoyed working on her farm and tending to her animals. She had numerous awards, was bilingual, an artist and a published author.
Dalena is survived by her sister, Christy Bradley; brother, Brian Haynes; nephew, Collin Haynes, all of Hot Springs; and a longtime friend and partner, Sidney Trahan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John McCallum officiating.
