HMS Tigers win over ACHS Bulldogs

John Guienze and Noah Judice combined on a six-hitter, leading the Hanson Memorial Tigers to a 17-3 victory over the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs Tuesday at the Amar Lancon Field.
Hanson exploded for seven runs in both the second and fourth innings, supporting the pitching of Guienze, who notched the mound victory after scattering six hits over four frames.
Guienze went four complete innings, allowing one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Judice worked one frame, striking out the side for the save.
Cameron Stovall and Bo Barrilleaux led the Tigers in hitting with multiple hits. Stovall went 3 for 4 with a double and a pair of singles with four runs batted in, three runs and one stolen base. Barrilleaux, who went 2 for 2, belted a pair of singles along with three runs, one RBI and one stolen base.

Ascension Catholic posted a 2-0 lead after one complete inning. Hanson stormed back, securing a 3-2 lead in the bottom half of the first inning.
Hanson struck back with a vengeance in the bottom half of the second frame, earning an insurmountable 10-2 lead after scoring seven runs.
Ascension Catholic tallied its final run in the top half of the fourth frame, trailing the Tigers by a 10-3 margin.

Guienze earned the mound victory after pitching four complete innings, giving up three runs with only one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Judice picked up the save, going one frame, with no runs on no hits with three strikeouts.
