ROY GRANGER

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Roy Granger on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton. Fr. Gregory Cormier will be the celebrant for the Mass. He will be laid to rest in Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at the church from 8:30 a.m. until service time, with the rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
Roy was a native of Erath and a longtime resident of Franklin. He passed away at the age of 87 on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Franklin Health Care Center.
Survivors include six children, Elray Granger and his wife, Betty; Linda Granger; Kenneth Granger Sr. and his wife, Elaine; Ricky Granger and his wife, Robin; Tina Granger; and Stacy Dugas and her husband, Dion; two brothers, Willis Granger and Curley Granger; two sisters, Euna Hebert and Mabel Bertrand; 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Hebert Granger; one son, Ronald Wayne Granger; one grandson, Troy Granger; his parents, Alpheus Granger and Evela Vice Granger; five brothers, Vorhees, Willie, Ferdinand, Ferness and Paul Granger; and one sister, Enez Simon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Granger, Chris Granger, Dustin Cole, Kyle Farrell, Russ Romero and Brett Billiot. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Landry, Keith Daigle and Blake Billiot.
