ROY JEAN 'JEANNIE' BERNARD

Roy Jean “Jeannie” Bernard, 67, a native of New Orleans and resident of Jeanerette, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 11200 Old Jeanerette Road in Jeanerette, with a rosary being recited at 10 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dismas Mauk, SVD, serving as the celebrant.
She is survived by her sons, Michael McNeal of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Leroy “Lee” McNeal of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Kevin McNeal of Raeford, North Carolina; two brothers, Archie Aples of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Samuel Aples of Picayune, Mississippi; one sister, Frances A. Boyd of Decatur, Georgia; five grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, one sister and one brother.
