De La Salle edges by Centerville, 8-6

CENTERVILLE _ De La Salle’s Lady Cavaliers of New Orleans edged the Centerville Lady Bulldogs Tuesday 8-6 in a hard-fought contest at Centerville High School Lady Bulldog Park.
The Lady Bulldogs _ who slipped to 5-4 overall _ will return to action today at 4 p.m. in the opening round of District 8-B action by hosting the Maurepas Lady Wolves.
Centerville pitcher Ashton Landry tossed a complete game against De La Salle, going seven innings, striking out, walking three and giving up six hits.
Leading hitters for Centerville were: Ashton Landry, 3 for 4, RBI, two runs; Rylie Candella, 1 for 4, double, 2 RBI; Victoria Theriot, 1 for 4; Courtney Landry, 2 for 4, RBI, double, run; Robyn Romero, 3 for 4, RBI, run; Reagan Romero, 1 for 3, RBI, run and Marlee Darden, 1 for 3, run.
CHS hosts Maurepas today in District 8-B opener.
