Police Reports 4-1-15
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Renwic White, 23, of Baldwin, was charged Tuesday at 1:59 p.m. with introduction of contraband into a jail after a routine search at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. He remains incarcerated.
Bricelon Martin, 18, of 1192 Chitimacha Trail, Baldwin, was arrested Tuesday at 4:40 p.m. on charges of two counts of simple assault, disturbing the peace, battery on a police officer and resisting an officer. Bond was set at $3,000.
Harold Verdin, 39, of Houma, was arrested Tuesday at 5:03 p.m. on a warrant charging him with communicating false information of a planned arson and criminal trespassing. No bond was set.
Natshia Lancelin, 39, of 116 W. Long Street, Baldwin, was arrested Tuesday at 9:52 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and released on a summons.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Eric Driskill, 40, of 3107 Second St., Berwick, Tuesday at 10:2 a.m. on a charge of prohibited use of fireworks; Jevon Smith, 37, of 1119 Francis St., Patterson on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; and Steve Berryhill, 44, of 1468 Fairmont Ave., Bayou Vista, on charges of possession of Fiorinal, possession of Keflex without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Driskell and Smith were released on summonses and Berryhill was held with no bond set.
Acting Chitimacha Police Chief Ellen Hebert reported the arrest of Christopher Claypool, 37, of Scott, Monday on a warrant charging him with theft. He was released on a summons.
Chief Sabria McGuire reported that the Franklin Police Department, along with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, Chitimacha Tribal Police Department, Morgan City Police Department and Patterson Police Department conducted a search warrant at a residence on Lee Charles Street in Franklin Wednesday and arrested two persons after detectives were reportedly notified by a concerned citizen of possible child pornography on the Internet.
Melvin Williams, 42, of Martin Luther King Road, Charenton, was charged at 6:16 a.m. with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and a probation hold. No bond was set.
Demondre Wiggins, 24, of Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, was charged at 7:16 a.m. with distribution of pornography involving a juvenile and possession of pornography involving a juvenile. No bond was set.
McGuire also reported the unrelated arrests of Reginald Sims, 32, of St. Joseph Street, Franklin, Tuesday at 4:35 p.m. on a sheriff’s warrant charging him with distribution of synthetic marijuana and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor. He was held on $75,000 bond.
Johnathan Bergeron, 21, of LaGrange Robicheaux Road, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 9:25 p.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on $2,000 bond.
