Centerville Lady Bulldogs notch 8-B win

CENTERVILLE _ Ashton Landry fanned 13 batters while leading the Centerville Lady Bulldogs to a 13-2 six-inning victory over Patrick Taylor here Thursday at the Centerville Lady Bulldog Park.
Landry notched the mound victory after working six innings, giving up one earned run on three hits with 13 strikeouts and no walks.
Leading hitters for the Lady Bulldogs were: Rylie Candella, 2 for 4, 2 runs; Hailey McDaniel, 2 for 4, 2 runs; Victoria Theriot, 2 for 4, 2 runs, RBI; Ashton Landry, 3 for 3, 3 runs, 3 RBI; Kennan Stelly, 1 for 3, run; Rachel LeBlanc, 2 for 3, run, 2 RBI; Marlee Darden, 2 for 3, 2 runs, RBI;
Roshayla Gunner, 2 RBI and Grace LeBlanc, RBI.
Centerville (8-10, 2-4) will travel to play Donaldsonville on Monday at 4 p.m. before playing the Patterson Lady Jills on the road Tuesday at 4 p.m.

In Tuesday’s District 8-B action, the Holden Lady Rockets toppled the Centerville Lady Bulldogs, 7-1.
Ashton Landry worked all seven innings for the Lady Bulldogs. She gave up four earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts and five walks.
