Police Reports 4-30-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrests of two juvenile males Wednesday following an alleged altercation at the St. Mary Alternative School in Verdunville. An 11-year-old from Patterson and a 12-year-old from Franklin were charged with simple battery and later released to their guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.
Hebert also reported the following arrests in unrelated incidents were:
Malcolm Charles Jr., 48, of 146 La. 668 No. 3, Jeanerette, was arrested Wednesday at 2:26 p.m. on a warrant from the Justice of the Peace charging him with criminal trespass and criminal damage to property. He was released on a summons to appear in court.
Paul Gobert Jr., 48, of 124 Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 3:18 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of illegal possession of weapons and drug paraphernalia. He was later released on a $12,000 bond.
Gajan Reed, 29, of 1012 Weber Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 4:20 p.m. on four warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Bond was set at $400,000.
Miranda Brown, 22, of 144 Rayne Court, Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Wednesday at 4:06 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Javian Ervin, 28, 64 Simcoe Street, Lafayette, was arrested Wednesday at 6:41 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of improper turn and/or failure to give required signal. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
Ray C. Granger, 27, of 417 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, was arrested today at 12:27 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated after being reported for having jumped into the Bayou Teche from the Willow Street bridge in Franklin. He was later released on a summons.
Franklin Pearce III, 30, of 1004 Front St., Apt. C, Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 6:11 p.m. on charges second offense possession of marijuana, obstruction of justice, no turn signal, stop sign violation, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
