Franklin launches economic development Facebook page

Franklin officials have set up a Louisiana-Economic Development Facebook page dedicated to promoting business development in Franklin and to encouraging Franklinites to shop locally.
Businesses that are located within the city limits of the City of Franklin are encouraged to use the page for advertising special promotions, events, news and their current offerings and hours. Business owners are asked to send pictures for their posts on the Facebook page. The Facebook page will be a place where residents can find out about their local businesses.
“The City of Franklin, Louisiana-Mayor’s Office page will be dedicated to providing citizens with information and for promoting nonprofit organizations’ events,” Mayor Raymond Harris Jr. said. “ The City of Franklin, Louisiana-Economic Development page will enhance what we’re trying to do, which is to show people that Franklin is on the move and that we promote strong business development and growth in Franklin.”
Harris concluded, “I encourage everyone to like the new page and to check it often for business information and special promotions. Also, I hope business owners will utilize this new avenue that will, hopefully, help them to fully develop their businesses.”
