Centerville names top two graduates

Two top honors graduates will lead Centerville High School’s Class of 2015 commencement exercises at 6 p.m. tonight in the school gymnasium.
Christian Cole Arias is graduating with a 4.0 grade point average to earn summa cum laude status.
Christian, the son of Chasity and Chip Buford, has been accepted at Louisiana State University and plans to major in veterinary medicine.
His activities in high school have included football, basketball, baseball, track, Cheer Squad, Senior Beta Club, Future Farmers of America, 4-H, and the Science Olympiad Team. He has qualified to receive the Louisiana TOPS Scholarship; received Outstanding 4-H member award, Student of the Year, the Free Mason’s Honesty & Integrity Award, Academic All State in basketball, baseball and track, All American Cheerleader, District and State Literary Rally, first place in Agriculture I and Agriculture II, second place in Beef Premier Exhibitor for 4-H
Alison Nicole Guidroz, the daughter of Heather Trahan and Sean Comeaux, is graduating with a 3.9667 grade point average to earn summa cum laude status.
Her activities at Centerville High include Senior Beta Club member and basketball team manager. She qualifies to receive the Louisiana TOPS Scholarship Award and has been accepted into the Scholar’s College at Northwestern State University where she plans to obtain a master’s degree in psychology.
