Monday's Swampland action rescheduled
The area’s two Swampland Baseball games were not played Monday, while a third on the road could not get through an inning of junior varsity before the rain came.
The Cardinal Lumber (Patterson)-BCG Services (Covenant Christian) contest was rescheduled for Wednesday at Patterson, while the Skipper’s Sporting Goods (Morgan City)-Taco Bell (Berwick) game also was rescheduled for Wednesday. Both games will begin with junior varsity action at 5 p.m. and varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic) and Jester’s Court (Central Lafourche) got through a half inning of junior varsity play before they were rained out. That series of games will be made up in Matthews Wednesday with junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
All of the Tri-City area’s teams will be in action today, with Taco Bell and Skipper’s each hosting. Taco Bell will face Robichaux Ford (Vandebilt Catholic), while Skipper’s will host BCG Services. At both sites, junior varsity will begin at 5 p.m. with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, Halimar Shipyard will travel to face Crawdaddy’s Seafood (Houma Christian) and Cardinal Lumber will play the Braves (H.L. Bourgeois). Both games will feature junior varsity at 3:30 p.m. and varsity at 5:30 p.m.
