School at Good Hope Baptist Church, 908 Washington St., Patterson, 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 29-July 3. Theme: “Adventures at Sea.” Refreshments served.

ST. MARY COUNCIL
On Aging membership drive is held throughout July. Seeking members to assist in planning, implementing and evaluating various programs for persons older than 60. No fee, but must be majority age, a St. Mary Parish resident and willing to donate time and talent for senior activities.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
And Garage Sale hosted by St. Mary Council on Aging 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 4-5, at 302 and 304 Iberia St., Franklin. Also selling hot dogs, nachos and other food item.

ST. MARY AARP DANCE
Saturday, July 18, 7-11 p.m. at St. Mary Senior Citizens Center, 4014 Chennault St., Morgan City. Music by R.J.M and the Full Moons Band. Tickets: $8, advance; $12, at door. For info call 985-384-2277.

MCHS ORIENTATION
Morgan City High School orientation is July 30 for sophomores, juniors and seniors and July 31 for freshmen and incoming new students. Times: July 30, seniors 8:15 a.m.; juniors 9:30 a.m.; and sophomores 10:45 a.m. July 31, freshmen and new students, 8:30-10:30 a.m. School appropriate attire required. Students receive locker combinations, identification cards and tentative schedule. Freshman Day also includes welcome session from administrators, school tour and organizational info. Parents encouraged to attend freshmen session. Parking permits cost $5. Student must show valid driver’s license.
