Youth outreach

Deputies have been working with St. Mary Parish libraries to teach kids parish wide what police officers do and how they help the community. At the Lena Young deGrummond branch in Centerville, Det. Whytley Jones, top, talks to youngsters about bicycle safety. Below, Lt. Dan Wiedenboerner explains how to work the lights and sirens.
