LAWRENCE LYNEL BLACKBURN

Lawrence “Kodie G.” Lynel Blackburn, 37, a native and a resident of Franklin, La., passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2015 in Baton Rouge.
Visitation will be observed on Friday, August 7 at the Nazarene Baptist Church in Franklin (Verdunville), from 11 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Henry Harris officiating. Burial will follow services in the Nazarene Church Cemetery.
Memories of “Kodie G.,” as he was known to many, will forever be cherished in the heart of his loving mother, Geraldine Blackburn of Franklin; five sons, Lawrence Hunter of Lafayette, Na’jay Blackburn, Davidyione Bias, Da’Mondrick Blackburn and Daylon Blackburn, all of Morgan City; three daughters, Laurielle Bias, Zyrielle Bias and Irielle Bias, all of Morgan City; three brothers, Billy Blackburn of Lafayette, Jeremy Blackburn of Baton Rouge and Leo Mingo Jr. of Patterson; three sisters, Ruby Blackburn and Christine Blackburn, both of Baton Rouge and Antoinette Blackburn-Jackson of Germany; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Lawrence was preceded in by his father, one brother, a nephew, two uncles and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
