Parish council to meet Wednesday

Members of the St. Mary Parish Council will be presented with the proposed 2015-2016 fiscal year budget for the Atchafalaya Golf Course when they meet in regular session Wednesday.
In related business Councilman Glen Hidalgo is set to discuss advertising for proposals from golf management companies to take over operations at the golf course.
Other items on the agenda include:
—Reconsideration of a rezoning request denied by the Planning and Zoning Commission at 911 Joel Fletcher St. Former councilman H.A. “Neg” Louviere is slated to address the council on the issue.
—Introduction of ordinances on zoning map amendments; fee schedules and forms on building codes; and declaration of certain property as surplus and authorizing its sale.
—Resolutions on a contract with the lowest bidder for runway and taxiway rehab at Harry P. Williams Airport; a contract with the state on sidewalk construction along Lake Palourde Road in Amelia from Aucoin Road to Waterworks Road; a detention agreement with Lafayette Parish to house juveniles at its youth detention facility; a supplemental agreement with the state Department of Transportation and Development on improvements to Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway from La. 182 to Martin Luther King Road; endorsement of participation in the Enterprise Zone Program by Seacraft Shipyard LLC; an agreement with Cleco on donated materials and services; a certificate of substantial completion on electrical improvements to campsites at Kemper Williams Park; an agreement with Aetna Better Health Inc. on operations at Fairview Treatment Center; a change order on roadway and drainage improvements by Byron E. Talbot Contractor, Inc. on Jones Drive; the call for special tax elections on Nov. 21 by Recreation District 3 and Fire Protection District 1; and a cooperative endeavor agreement with the St. Mary Levee District on the transfer of materials for drainage and flood protection projects.
