Police: Morgan City man, who fled from officers, caught

A 23-year-old Morgan City man was caught Monday after he fled from an officer trying to make a traffic stop Thursday in Morgan City, Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Brennan N. Skinner, 23, of Grace Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with general speed law, window tint violation, flight from an officer and resisting an officer.
Skinner was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident Thursday in which an officer attempted to make a traffic stop and Skinner is suspected to be the driver of the vehicle, Blair said. Skinner is alleged to have fled from officers in the vehicle. He later exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Skinner was jailed.
Hebert reported responding to 34 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests:
—Areana Candanedo, 24, of the 400 block of Halsey Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:20 a.m. Monday on a warrant for issuing worthless checks.
A deputy made contact with Candanedo at a business on La. 182 in Amelia and located an active warrant for her arrest. The deputy transported Candanedo to the parish jail for booking. Candanedo was released on a summons to appear in court Nov. 17.
—Dustin M. Burch, 21, of the 200 block of Hendricks Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. today on the charge of criminal trespass and vagrancy.
—Taylor J. Davis, 17, of the 100 block of Natalie Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. today on the charge of criminal trespass and vagrancy.
A deputy investigating a report of trespassing on property near the intersection of Field and South roads located two men on Canal Road matching the description of the trespassers and detained them. As the investigation progressed, the deputy identified them as Burch and Davis, the two suspects who were seen loitering in the area and trespassing on the property.
Both Burch and Davis were taken to the parish jail and then released on summonses to appear in court Nov. 17.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Brian Patrick Campbell, 30, of the 1000 block of Fairway Lane in Ville Platte, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. today on the charges of two counts of criminal mischief, two counts of criminal trespassing and obscenity. No bail is set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
