Police Reports 8-2-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Cheryl B. Pontiff, 49, of 151 Uranus St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Tuesday at 11:03 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.
A juvenile male, 16, of Centerville, was arrested Tuesday at 6:43 p.m. on charges of two counts of resisting an officer and released to guardians pending juvenile court.
Caresse Nico, 29, of 3510 Patoutville Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Tuesday at 10:39 p.m. on an Iberia Parish failure to appear warrant on a charge of issuing worthless checks. Bond was set at $1,000.
Narcotics Division agents charged Donald Melancon III, 27, of 134 Anders St., Morgan City, Tuesday at 5:25 p.m. on a warrant charging him with obstruction of justice. No bond was set.
Jacob Gil, 30, of 1020 Kimberly Drive, Morgan City, was charged Tuesday at 4:10 p.m. on charges of possession of Xanax and drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
Scarlett Burkart, 35, of 1017 Rosemary St., Patterson, was arrested Tuesday at 3:50 p.m. on a warrant charging her with possession of heroin. No bond was set.
Dylan Verdun, 19, of 214 Enterprise Avenue, Patterson, was arrested Tuesday at 9:41 p.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on a summons.
Harley Rentrop, 22, of 1224 South Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Tuesday at 9:20 p.m. on charges of possession of meth and marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug free zone violation and obstruction of justice. No bond was set.
Brad Derouen, 25, of 1224 South Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Tuesday at 9:20 p.m. on charges of failure to yield, possession of meth and marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a drug free zone and transactions involving drug proceeds. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Kevin James, 30, of Iberia Street, Franklin, Tuesday at 8:25 p.m. on a district court failure to appear warrant on charges of no seat belt, no driver’s license and failure to honor written promise to appear. No bond was set.
Jeremy Stokes, 30, of Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 11:58 p.m. on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and cocaine and resisting an officer. No bond was set.
Curtis Fusilier, 26, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested today at 3:51 a.m. on charges of aggravated flight from an officer, turn signal violation and expired license. No bond was set.
Officers reportedly observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle refused to stop and led officers on a short pursuit. The vehicle stopped and the passenger, Jeremy Stokes, reportedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot while the driver drove off. After a foot pursuit, officers arrested Stokes and allegedly located narcotics and a weapon on his person. Officers later located the driver, Curtis Fusilier, at a residence on Trowbridge Street where he was arrested. Bond had not been set this morning.
