Urologist Benson joins Teche staff

Continuing the expansion of its hospital medical staff, Teche Regional Medical Center CEO Butch Frazier announced the opening of the urology practice of David C. Benson, MD, FACS.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Benson to Morgan City and to St. Mary parish as he begins the practice of urology in his new office, Teche Regional Urology,” Frazier said in a news release. “Dr. Benson’s practice will fill a much-needed area in the field of health care, helping fulfill our ongoing commitment of bringing necessary, and accessible healthcare services right here close to home.”
Dr. Benson has practiced urology for over 28 years. He is a native of Shreveport and earned his dDoctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
He is board-certified in urology, and is a member of the American Urologic Association and American College of Surgeons, among other professional organizations. Appointments can be made by calling 985-380-4833.
