Coast Guard blood drive

Health Services Technician First Class Holly Mendez organized a blood drive at the Coast Guard’s Marine Safety Unit Morgan City. Mendez contacted The Blood Center of Louisiana and coordinated with Francis Plaisance Jr. to make this event happen. Mendez rallied the troops and was able to get over 25 participants. Thanks to all who participated, over 75 lives in Louisiana have the possibility of being saved from those who donated blood Sept. 8.
