Chills and thrills at ‘Pitch Black’

The Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts will be presenting “Pitch Black,” a Haunted Theatre on Saturday.
It starts at 7 p.m. and admission is $3 per person. The auditorium and stage of the Teche Theatre will be transformed into an abyss of darkness where creepy, spooky characters, apparitions and top secret effects will appear from thin air around every pain staking turn.
“Everyone that has ever been in a show and worked late nights in the theatre knows what a creepy place it can be with the natural creaking noise and random upstairs toilets flushing on their own,” Teche board member, Tyra Yarber said. “But when you add intentional scares and all the effects we can do in the theatre world it’s just going be one scary experience.”
Patrons will be ushered in groups through the abyss by Teche volunteers. Get there by 7 p.m. to ensure a good spot in line.
