Morgan City resident booked on sex charge

A 22-year-old Morgan City man was arrested Monday after he allegedly had sex with a 13-year-old girl, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Terrell V. Bullock, 22, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:29 a.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Bullock was located in the area of La. 182 and Myrtle Street. The warrant stems from an investigation that began Oct. 20, in which Bullock is alleged to have had sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl. Bullock was jailed.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Bryan Wright, 41, of Gray, at 1:30 a.m. Monday on the charges of remaining after being forbidden, resisting an officer and on St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrants for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana and failure to appear aggravated battery.
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Gen. Hodges Street in regards to removing an individual from the residence. When officers arrived, the homeowner wanted Wright removed from the property.
Officers located Wright outside of the residence. A warrants check was done on Wright and it was determined that he held active warrants for the 16th Judicial District Court. While trying to place Wright into handcuffs, he began to jerk away from the officer, but was subdued. Wright was jailed.
—Charles Walker, 32, of Filmore Street in Morgan City, at 9:59 a.m. Monday on warrants charging him with simple battery, failure to appear for criminal damage to property and failure to pay probation fees.
Walker was transported from the Assumption Parish Jail to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department and the Sixth Ward City Court. Walker was jailed.
—John P. May, 25, of West Park Road in Morgan City, at 1:40 a.m. today on the charge of brake lights required and on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear to pay restitution.
A patrol officer in the area of La. 182 and Myrtle Street observed a vehicle with improper lighting and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, May, had an active warrant for his arrest and was jailed.
—Christy Morgan, 52, of Westside Trailer Park in Morgan City, at 4:57 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging her with three counts of failure to appear.
Morgan was transported from the Assumption Parish Detention Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Morgan was booked and incarcerated,
—Oscar Hernandez-Perez, 24, of River Road in Berwick, at 3:38 a.m. Saturday on the charges of failure to signal and possession of Schedule I marijuana.
A patrol officer in the area of La. 182 observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal while turning on to Everett Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Hernandez-Perez, was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. While speaking to Perez, the officer could spell an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The officer received consent to pat Perez down and located suspected marijuana on Perez. Perez was jailed.
—Marie A. Franklin, 28, of Park Road in Morgan City, at 12:21 p.m. Saturday on a warrant charging her with three counts of failure to pay fines.
Franklin was located at her home and determined to have active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Franklin was jailed.
—Frank Singleton, 32, of Oak Street in Morgan City, at 9:50 p.m. Sunday on the charges of failure to signal and driving under suspension.
A patrol officer in the area of Everett Street observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Singleton, had a suspended driver’s license. Singleton was booked and later released on bail.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 42 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Joseph D. Eusey Sr., 37, of the 900 block of Gum Street in Fernandina Beach, Florida, was additionally charged at 8:15 a.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with possession of cocaine, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The warrant stems from a 2013 investigation conducted by narcotics detectives into suspected illegal drug activity. Detectives made contact with Eusey and found cocaine and drug paraphernalia on him. The investigation occurred within 2,000 feet of a drug free zone, the central park in Bayou Vista. Eusey was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail on the warrant is set at $75,000.
—John DeMarco, 25, of the 100 block of Jordan Lane in Morgan City, at 7:49 p.m. Monday on the charge of driving under suspension. A deputy investigating a vehicle crash on U.S. 90 in the Amelia area made contact with DeMarco, who was one of the drivers involved. The deputy learned that DeMarco was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. DeMarco was released on a summons to appear in court Feb. 11. Demarco was also cited for following too closely.
—Louis Neal Lee, 57, last known address of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, at 4:41 a.m. today on the charges of theft of goods and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista.
Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a man who refused to identify himself. The deputy learned from store personnel that the man was seen concealing items in a bag before leaving the store without paying for the goods. He was transported to the parish jail for booking. Lee had initially been identified as Charles Clark. However, further investigation into his identity revealed that Lee uses that name as an alias. No bail is set.
—Renata Harris, 35, of the 1000 block of Shaw Drive in Morgan City, at 4:29 p.m. Monday on two warrants for failure to appear for drug court status conferences.
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division located Harris at a business on La. 182 in Morgan City on the warrants. Bail is set at $200,000.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Tyrique Jones, 18, of the 1500 block of Plum Street in Patterson, at 4:14 p.m. Friday on the charges of theft under $500 and resisting an officer by flight. Jones was jailed with no bail set.
—Jessie Hart, 23, of the 500 block of Sixth Street in Franklin, at 4:22 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft under $500. Hart was jailed on $1,000 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Brandon Grant, 33, of the 700 block of Utah Street in Berwick, at 11:52 p.m. Friday on the charge of remaining where forbidden. Grant was jailed on $300 bail.
—Lane Leonard, 42, of the 1200 block of La. 70 South in Pierre Part, at 5:03 a.m. Sunday on the charges of turn signal violation, driving under suspension, switched license plate and no proof insurance. Leonard was released on bail.
