Early vote starts Sat.

Registrar of Voters Jolene Holcombe has announced that early voting for the Nov. 21 election begins Saturday and continues through the following Saturday, Nov. 14.
However, the office will be closed on Wednesday in observance of Veterans Day.
Hours for early voting are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be held at the Registrar’s Office on the third floor of the St. Mary Parish Courthouse and at the Registrar’s branch office in Morgan City at 301 Third St. You may vote early in either office regardless of your address.
The following issues are on the ballot:
—Louisiana Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General
—State Representative, 51st Representative District
—16th Judicial District Judge Section 2, Division D
—St. Mary Parish Council members Districts 1 and 3
—Fire Protection District No. 1 Proposition for Cypremort Point Area (2 mill property tax for 10 years)
—Recreation District No. 3 Proposition for Bayou Vista Area (In-lieu millage of 9 mill property tax for 20 years)
