LORENA M. LODRIGUE LOMBAS

February 8, 1923- December 12, 2015
Lorena M. Lodrigue Lombas 92, a resident of Berwick, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Lorena was born Feb. 8, 1923, in Berwick, the daughter of Emile Lodrigue Sr. and Lorenza Rebardi Lodrigue.
Lorena loved to spend time with her family and loved baking her world-famous homemade bread for them. She had a green thumb and loved to be outside tending to her flower garden. She loved the Lord and loved to serve him. Her favorite quote that she said most often was, “It’s none of my business, but I’m going to tell you anyway!”
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her five children, Gary Lombas Sr. and wife, Gail, of Berwick, Lawrence Lombas Sr. and wife, Josie, of Berwick, Milford “Jimbo” Lombas of Bayou Vista, Lila Kash and husband, Bruce, of Alabama, and Sandra Aucoin and husband, James, of Berwick; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lilly Mae “Tiny” Teachman of Berwick, Lillian “Molly” Rink of Gibson, Betty Lou Leger of Gibson, and Diane Sanders of Bayou Vista; two brothers, Emile Lodrigue Jr. of Bayou Vista and Claude Lodrigue of Bayou L’Ourse; and one daughter-in-law, Patsy Lombas.
Lorena was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank B. Lombas Jr.; one son, Frank B. Lombas III; two daughters, Ella Mae Cobbs and Delores Durapau; three grandsons; two granddaughters; three sons-in-law; three sisters; and three brothers.
Serving as pallbearers will be Braden Morvant, Troy Gilmore, Kevin Bertrand, Billy Chapman, Chris Balance and Ian Gregg.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Lombas Jr. officiating. Family received friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Following funeral services, Lorena was laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
