Higher Ground Family Church scholarships

Higher Ground Family Church awarded three scholarships to 2015 graduates. Breannah Richard, top photo with presenter Christine Cuvillier, is a graduate of Morgan City High and is attending UL Lafayette, majoring in music business. She is a member of Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship and serves on their worship team. She still loves coming home on weekends to spend time with her family and remains active in her church and youth group. Omar Ledezma Jr., middle photo, a graduate of Morgan City High, is attending UL Lafayette majoring in public relations with a minor in business management. He also attends Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship and enjoys weekend visits with his family. He still serves on his church worship team. Earl Johnson III, bottom photo with Pastor Ronnie Cuvillier, is a graduate of Patterson High and is attending Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He’s majoring in criminal justice. He is also a starting lineman on the Muskies football team, the 2015 Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Champions. Distance prevents regular home visits, but he communicates with family on a regular basis.
