18-wheeler knocks over utility pole in Morgan City

An 18-wheeler struck a utility pole just after noon Tuesday, knocking over the pole, while making a turn to make a delivery to the Family Dollar on Seventh Street in Morgan City, police said. No injuries were reported.
As of 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, police advised people to avoid the area of Seventh Street and Brashear Avenue. Crews were working to clear the accident.
