Callais gets spot
on bank council
The American Bankers Association has selected Jeremy Callais of M C Bank to serve on the American Bankers Association’s Community Bankers Council.
Callais attended the ABA Community Bankers Council and the ABA Government Relations Council Administrative Committee joint meeting Dec. 7-9 in Washington.
The ABA Community Bankers Council, which meets twice a year, is made up of approximately 100 bankers from institutions with generally less than $3 billion in assets. Members are appointed by the ABA chairman.
Jeremy Callais has been married to Casie Robison Callais for the past 18 years, and they have 3 daughters, Sinclair (13), Charlotte (10) and Evangeline (3). Jeremy Callais has been a part of the M C Bank family for the past nine years. He was recently promoted to the position of executive vice president and chief operations officer and still holds the chief financial officer position.

earns top marks
Terrebonne General Medical Center has been recognized as a 2014 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States.
TGMC was recognized as part of The Joint Commission’s 2015 annual report “America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety,” for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, venous thromboembolism, and perinatal care. TGMC is one of only 1,043 hospitals out of more than 3,300 eligible hospitals in the United States to achieve the 2014 Top Performer distinction.
The performance measures included in the recognition program including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, children’s asthma, inpatient psychiatric services, stroke, venous thromboembolism, perinatal care, immunization, tobacco treatment and substance use.
Sampey inducted
into honor society
Regan Sampey, a Teche Regional Medical Center nurse tech in the Medical/Surgical Department, has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Xi Zeta Chapter.
To receive this honor, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and rank in the top 35 percent of their class. This induction is a result of their dedication, hard work and commitment to nursing.

SMS, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, and a sister company to Acadian Ambulance, is a provider of highly rated and comprehensive training programs for the oil & gas industry, including OPITO and API-approved courses.
