Driver extricated

Franklin Fire Department was dispatched Saturday at 7:03 a.m. to a reported vehicle flipped with persons trapped at the Winn Dixie parking lot on Northwest Boulevard. FFD responded within two minutes with three trucks and nine personnel. A pick-up truck operated by Herman Jones, 66, of 505 Robert Street, Franklin was traveling through the parking lot when he struck a post causing the truck to flip on its side trapping Jones. Above, firefighters Justin Martin and Tyler Parker cut the windshield and freed Jones who suffered minor injuries and refused treatment by Acadian Ambulance.
