CHS Lady Bulldogs split tourney wins

BATON ROUGE _ Centerville’s Lady Bulldogs split wins tournament wins here at the Christian Life Academy Tournament here over the weekend.
In the opener, Centerville pulled out a 6-5 win over West Feliciana.
Centerville pitcher Ashton Landry earned the mound victory after going seven complete innings, giving up 6 hits, striking out 8, walking 1, while giving up 3 earned runs.
Leading hitters for Centerville were: Ashton Landry, 2 for 4, single, double, 2 RBIs, and a run; Chelsi Hebert, 1 for 3, 2 runs; Grace LeBlanc, run; Robyn Romero, 1 for 3, RBI; Hailey McDaniel, 2 for 4, RBI, run; Marlee Darden, 1 for 2, RBI; Rylie Candella, 2 for 5, 2 RBIs, run and Rachel LeBlanc, 3 for 4, RBI, 2 singles and a double.
In the second game, Bunkie posted a narrow 5-4 win over the Centerville Lady Bulldogs.
Ashton Landry hurled seven complete innings for the Lady Bulldogs, allowing three earned runs on seven hits on with seven strikeouts and three walks.

Centerville travels to play Hanson Memorial today at 5 p.m. at Hanson.
