Celebrating a century

Mattie Palmer, a resident of Morgan City and a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church celebrated her 100th birthday recently. Palmer is the oldest member of the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and one of the oldest citizens in Morgan City. A special tribute was given to Palmer during the Black History program at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church on Sunday.
