‘Trivia Night’ is Saturday in Patterson
Chez Hope Family Violence Crisis Center, in an effort to support survivors of domestic violence, is sponsoring a fundraiser event “Trivia Night” on Saturday at the Patterson Civic Center.
There will be food, soft drinks, beer and snacks available to be purchased. Outside food or drink is not allowed.
Trivia, consisting of various topics, will begin at 6 p.m. There will be 10 categories with 10 questions in each category. The team as a whole answers the questions. A team table will be $120 and will accommodate up to six players.
A plaque and a cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the first place team; second and third place teams will also receive plaques. Plaques will also be awarded for the Best Dressed Team and best Table Decorations. Theme-dressed teams can be anything. This year’s theme will be Red, White and Blue.
Contestants must be 18 years or older to participate in the competition. In the event that your team must cancel, the entry fee is non-refundable and will be considered as a donation to Chez Hope.
TRIVIA GAME RULES
—Answers must be exactly the same as the judge’s score sheet.
—If answer has a name, you need first and last name. If it has more than one answer, you must have all answers.
—All answers will have a time limit of 30 seconds per question.
—Every team will consist of no more than six players, but less than six players will be accepted.
—No spectators will be allowed to mix and talk with team members during competition.
—Judges will make final decision on any answer in doubt
—Every team will have a team captain. Only he/she will be able to address any questions or comments.
—There will be a 15-minute break at the end of the fifth round.
Door prizes will be given during the evening. There will also be Half-and-Half Benefit tickets for $1. Drawings will be after the last game.
