CCHS baseball tourney set to begin Thursday

Central Catholic will hold its annual baseball tournament Thursday through Saturday at the Amelia Recreation Center.
In addition to host Central Catholic, the eight-team tournament also will feature Patterson, H.L. Bourgeois, Loreauville, Ascension Catholic, Central Lafourche, Houma Christian and Catholic-Pointe Coupee.
Ascension Catholic was a Class 1A quarterfinalist in 2015, while Central Catholic was a Class 1A semifinalist.
Area action Thursday will include a 5:40 p.m. contest between Ascension Catholic and Patterson, followed by a 7:45 p.m. contest featuring Patterson and Central Lafourche.
On Friday, Patterson and Central Catholic will meet in the nightcap at 7:45.
Saturday’s local action will include a 6 p.m. contest between H.L. Bourgeois and Central Catholic and an 8:15 p.m. contest featuring Patterson and H.L. Bourgeois.
