Hanson Lady Tigers blank Lady Gators

Hanson Memorial’s Baylee Young combined with Ashley Meyerholtz on a two-hitter, lifting the Lady Tigers to a 15-0 District 7-1A victory over the Ascension Episcopal School Lady Gators Wednesday at the Hanson Memorial Softball Complex.
Hanson (14-4, 7-0) rode the outstanding performances of Young and Meyerholtz in the circle to collect the victory.
Young recorded the victory in the circle, working two scoreless innings, allowing one hit with one strikeout. Meyerholtz hurled one scoreless inning, giving up no runs and one hit.
Kaylee Broussard and Charlotte Pillaro led the Lady Tigers at the plate with a pair of two-run homers. Broussard went 1 for 3 with a two run homer and 2 RBIs. Pillaro was 1 for 2 with a 2-run homer and two RBIs. Amy Saintes was 2 for 3 with a pair of singles and one RBI.
Hanson will host VCHS on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
