Day of prayer Thursday

A National Day of Prayer service is set for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Franklin City Hall.
This day has been proclaimed as a National Day of Prayer on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation. This day was established through a joint resolution of Congress and signed by President Truman in 1952. The National Day of Prayer is held every first Thursday in May.
Local ministers, choirs, singers, dignitaries and elected officials will participate in and attend this event, praying for the city, the parish, the state and the nation.
