Library welcomes ‘Lady Chops’

Lady Chops, which headlines former international and American performance group STOMP percussionist Elizabeth Vidos, will close out the Summer Reading Program entertainment schedule for the St. Mary Parish Library System. A new act to this area, Lady Chops shares her love of music with a unique drumming performance, featuring washboards, buckets, spoons and a little Zydeco and drumstick juggling thrown into the entertaining mix. All seven St. Mary Parish Library locations will host Lady Chops, beginning on June 27 at the Bayou Vista Library at 10 a.m. and the Amelia Library at 2 p.m.; on June 28 at the Berwick Library at 10 a.m. and the Centerville Library at 2 p.m.; on June 29 at the Franklin Library at 10 a.m. and the Patterson Library at 2 p.m.; and on June 30 at 10 a.m. at the West End-Baldwin Library.
