PAULA WILLIAMS CAPAK

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, at St. Jules Catholic Church during a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Paula Williams Capak, a longtime resident of Franklin who passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at the age of 59 following a brief battle with cancer. Father Peter Emusa will be the Celebrant for the Mass. Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, TX.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m., led by Deacon Richard Picard. Visitations will resume at Ibert’s Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. and continue until time of dismissal at 11:30 a.m.
Paula was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic, a member of the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel in Franklin, and was very involved in many Catholic Home-Schooling organizations. In her son’s younger years, Paula was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and was one of the first female Assistant Scout Masters. Just prior to being diagnosed with cancer, she completed her CNA certification, of which she was very proud.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Christopher Capak; four sons, Christopher S. Capak and his wife, Sarah; Joshua D. Capak and his wife, Erica; William P. Capak, Sean N. Capak and his wife, Aimee; six grandchildren, Molly, Julien, Alyssa, Lily, Michael and Bryson; two sisters, Lea Warren and Lisa Hebert; mother-in-law, Lillian Capak; brother-in-law, Joseph Capak and his wife Paulanne; and five nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Helen Blanchard Williams; and her father-in-law, Steve J. Capak.
