Battle on the Basin returns this weekend

Deep South Racing Association’s “Battle on the Basin” will return to Morgan City Saturday and Sunday.
The event will be held out of Russo’s Landing in Morgan City.
Action will begin at 10:30 a.m. each day.
The event will feature boats topping 100-miles per hour.
Food and drinks will be sold, and the event will benefit the Morgan City Volunteer Fire Department.
Free parking will be available as well as shuttle bus transportation to the event from the parking area.
Admission per day is $10 for those ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 6-12 and those ages 5 and under will be admitted free. Ice chests may be brought onsite for $10 per ice chest.
A two-day pass is available for $18 for those ages 12 and up, $8 for those ages 6-12 and admission still will be free for those ages 5 and younger. With the two-day passes, ice chest can be admitted for $15 per ice chest.
